We have added a couple of new faces to our household this past year. Most of you will recognize Keeda but her sidekick, Monty, a true Scotch Terrier, is a "terrierific" little fellow who was owner released at the shelter.
A friend brought him by on my birthday in September and by that evening, I knew he was not a foster but an Ebbert boy.
He has really short little legs and cannot jump like Keeda but loves to hike. We took all of the dogs for a hike up Coyote Gulch this afternoon and they were in "dog" heaven!
Monty managed to dig a couple of likely looking holes---one was suspiciously like a badger hole and generally run up and down every hill several times.
Keeda is an amazing little hiker and usually manages four miles for every one we walk. Monty runs a close second but his attention is often captured by delicious scents under ledges and bushes.Connor, our Irish Wolfhound puppy, is getting past the real gangly, awkward stage and is growing into an elegant wolfie! At eight months old, he is taller than Maggie and though slender, also has a longer body. He is gentle and shy but adores walking! They all go crazy when we ask if they want to go for a walk. Of course, since hunting season is in the fall, each one has become accustomed to their hunter orange kerchiefs!

I can see why you would want to keep Monty. In that picture on the couch, he almost looks like a toy dog or something.
The family just keeps growing! He's such a cute dog. Sounds like he fits right in.
Who says you guys are empty nesters? Your group at home is just as big as ours! Monty looks cute. Glad you and the dogs are all enjoying being out in the fall weather. We miss you!
Great to see a post again. You are a better woman than I to keep all those animals. I find animals are a lot of work and the few we have are lucky to have Mark around to care for them.
